Gargano, Apulia and Matera’s “caves” (7 days)
1° day. arrival in airport and transfer service on the Gargano and arrangement in a four star hotel. dinner an d overnight stay.
2° day. Breakfast and departure for Vieste along the beautiful coast of the Gargano. Here you can admire the typical center (possibility to also effect the fabulous turn of the sea caves of the Gargano). Á. the term, lunch with typical fish dishes in restaurant . In the afternoon a brief visit to Peschici and at the end departure for the Forest Umbra, green heart of the National Park of the Gargano. At the end of the tour you will be able to taste some of the typical products. Dinner and overnight stay.
3° day. Breakfast in hotel and departure for Castel del Monte to admire the grandiose and mysterious castle of Fredrick II of Swabia . lunch in restaurant in Trani In the afternoon a visits Trani and his beautiful Romanesque Cathedral. at the end departure for the Barletta with visit of the Castle, the Cathedral, the famous Colossus. Departure for the “trulli” area (Monopoli-Alberobello-Ostuni) arrangement in the hotel four star. Dinner and overnight stay
4° day. Breakfast in hotel and departure for Castellana, to admire the famous caves. lunch in an agriturism. In the afternoon a visit to the typical and characteristic “trulli” of Alberobello. Dinner and overnight stay
5° day. Breakfast in hotel and departure for Lecce, the capital of the Baroque art in Puglia and visit of his masterpieces. lunch in restaurant in the zone of Otranto and the afternoon visit to its beautiful ancient suburb, embellished from the superb Cathedral to whose inside is magnificently preserved a mosaic of Byzantine origin. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay
6° day. Breakfast in hotel and departure for Matera, to admire its famous “stones”, the caves used as houses by the local People (here it was recorded the famous Mel Gibson’s film “The Passion”;) . lunch in typical restaurant .In the afternoon departure for Bari, the chief town of Puglia, where you will see the Cathedral of S. Nicholas, the shrine of S. Sabino, the Castle and the ancient part of the city . Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay
7° day. Breakfast and departure to airport
